Collection: Irish Chain

Irish Chain (and it's variations--Double Irish Chain, Triple Irish Chain) was said to have been "discovered" in the very early 1800s in the US, and there's plenty of discussion as to why and how it got the name "Irish" Chain.

The most noticeable aspect of Irish Chain is the lllooooonnnnngggg strings of teeny tiny blocks, but if you examine one closely, you'll see that basically Irish Chain is a 9 Patch on point, one right after the other.

Many Irish Chains are two-colored quilts, but I find the feedsack scrappy Irish Chains so delightful!
