Quilt Coat (Orange Scrappy Stars)

A collar-less quilt coat! Ozark string quilts are a fave at m.a.b.e.l, especially when positioned on such a fun orange and yellow background!

This jacket is modeled on the traditional barn jacket, and snaps closed with 4 antique brass snaps down the front, two patch pockets, and a hangtag. The neckline is finished with a binding from the original quilt. 

The original quilt is quite thick, and accordingly has very little drape. 

m.a.b.e.l’s coats are boxy with a drop shoulder, and hit at mid-hip (depending on your height).

What I love about this one: Ozark string quilts can be just so beautiful, and the orange-y/yellow background fabrics are so fun.  If you look hard enough, you can see the original feedsack manufacturers names.
