Quilt Coat (Pink & Yellow Squares in Squares)

This jacket is modeled on the traditional barn jacket, and snaps closed with 5 antique brass snaps down the front, two patch pockets, and a hangtag. The front and neckline binding re-uses the vintage plaid lining from the original quilt. 

The original quilt is mid-weight and has a nice structure, but not much drape.

m.a.b.e.l’s coats are boxy with a drop shoulder, and hit at mid-hip (depending on your height).

What I love about this one: it's a mid-weight quilt with a good amount of structure so it holds the jacket shape nicely. Plus pink and yellow are always a great combo.
