Quilt Coat (Scrappy Flying Geese)

A collar-less quilt coat! This coat marries beautiful feedsacks with some wonderful mid century modern fabrics to create a kaleidoscope of fun.

This jacket is modeled on the traditional barn jacket, and snaps closed with 4 antique brass snaps down the front, two patch pockets, and a hangtag. The neckline is finished with a binding from the original quilt. 

The original quilt is a tied quilt (meaning there is no decorative handstitching, instead the quilt has small red ties throughout), and it's quite thick, and accordingly has very little drape. 

m.a.b.e.l’s coats are boxy with a drop shoulder, and hit at mid-hip (depending on your height).

What I love about this one: the MCM vibe!
