Quilt Bins, Studio Totes, and Now Studio Cubes!
I tend to sew in batches--working on all the same product at the same time, in stages. The other day though, while prepping for Vogue Knitting Live later this month, I was sewing both Studio Totes and Quilt Bins at the same time. In my head this makes sense because both are cut to the same dimensions; the difference in shape comes from how I box the corners. The bins' corners are bigger than the totes' resulting in a square shape.
Anyway, I had a pile of totes and bins both prepped for corner boxing, and I cut the corners of the totes as though I was cutting the bins. Yikes! At this stage in production, the handles, D-rings, and linings are already in place, so I screeched to a halt and took a breath.
I turned the bag in on itself, and decided I actually liked the shape. Which should have been obvious to me because I LOVE my quilt bins. The new handles and D-rings are a definite plus, as are the seam-to-seam pockets.
So what could have been a one-off manufacturing mishap is now a new product!
Some features of each:
The Quilt Bin is soft-sided, approximately 8-ish" wide x 8-ish" deep x 10" tall. I say "ish" because the thickness of the quilt affects that measurement. When filled, it stands on its own. It has internal webbing around the perimeter to grab at any spot.

The Studio Tote 2.0 is 17" from seam to seam (and about 12-13 when the corners are boxed out). It's 12" tall and 5" deep. The bag is interfaced to give it structure to stand on its own. There are 3 internal pockets, and 2 D-rings on the side for the separate detachable strap. There are short handles on the top.
The Studio Cube has the same dimensions as the Quilt Bin, but, as it's interfaced (like the tote), it can stand on its own when empty (but who would keep it empty?). It also has the 3 internal pockets, D rings, and attachable strap.
Here's a comparison of the Studio Tote 2.0 and Studio Cube side by side:
