The details
How to Rehome Your Quilt
How it works
1. Email me (Paige) at hello@mabelstyle.com, with the subject field: rehome my old quilt. Describe its condition and anything of note. If you know who made it, or have any family stories about it, share that!
This will start our conversation. Let me know if you're interested in selling or donating it.
If you'd like to sell it, I can give you a dollar range for quilts with similar designs in similar condition. Once we agree on a price, proceed to step 2.
If you want to donate it, let me know if you'd like a discount on a future m.a.b.e.l product (from any quilt), or if you'd like a piece of YOUR quilt to return to you as a caddy or tote.
If I'm buying your quilt, once I remit the funds, you will mail your quilt to me. At this point, our transaction is complete! Thank you!
If you are donating the quilt, I will pay for shipping. Once you've received that payment, you'll send the quilt to me. Proceed to step 3!
If you choose the discount option, I will send you a personal discount code via email. You have one year to use the code.
If I'm making a caddy or tote from YOUR quilt, please hold tight. Depending on condition and time of year, I will have your piece to you within 4-6 weeks.

Almost...I prefer pre-1960s quilts, but a lot depends on the quilt design and colors used. At this time, I'm not taking any quilts newer than 1980.
Yes! If you can photograph or describe the condition, that helps. Let me know if the damage is all-over, or confined to specific areas, and if it's something like "tattered," or "ripped seams," "faded," or "discolored."
If you're interested in selling your quilt, and I think the market might bear more than my budget allows, I will let you know. I can also provide other market options if that's the route you want to take.
Certainly that's a valid point of discussion! Let me know what you are considering, and I can let you know if that's feasible given the condition of your quilt.
