Welcome to m.a.b.e.l!

Hi, I'm Paige, the creative sewist behind m.a.b.e.l. Since 2019 I've been repurposing damaged old quilts to showcase their beautiful energy, creativity, and workmanship.

I work out of a shared maker space in the wonderfully creative Philadelphia--sign up for my newsletter, read my blog, or follow along on Instagram for peeks into my making life.

Why m.a.b.e.l?

Makers always bring extra love. To their families, friends, and even complete strangers, when working on household necessities or special gifts. And to themselves when practicing their craft.  That love is knit into each stitch, sewn into each scrap, threaded into each needle.  With m.a.b.e.l, I strive to shine a light on all that extra love, through my own work with vintage quilts and textiles and the work of others using the medium that speaks to them.

m.a.b.e.l honors the creativity and craftsmanship of past makers by offering beautiful handcrafted finds, both new and old, for the modern maker.  Be it a jacket repurposed from a damaged 100 year old quilt, or a beautiful antique silk thimble refashioned into a lovely necklace, I want the makers forging ahead to enjoy that extra love from those makers who have gone before.
