Maker Caddy Make-Along

It's that point in the summer where my knitting projects are at a stand still, and I'm eager to spend some time at my sewing machine.  There's something just so satisfying about starting and finishing a project within a few hours, isn't there?

Why not spread the love?

Join me for a Maker Caddy Make-Along on August 6 on my YouTube channel.  I'll walk you through all the steps to churn out your own maker caddy, and best of all, you don't need to cut up your family quilt to participate!  Because I've got KITS for y'all!

Maker Caddy kits are pre-cut and come with everything you need to successfully sew your own large maker caddy: pre-cut quilt, canvas lining, and handles.  Special for the make-along, I've added 2 universal sewing needles appropriate for quilt weight sewing, slightly thicker bag sewing thread, and some quilt scraps to test your machine and its stitches.  I've chosen quilt pieces that I'm certain will be compatible with most home sewing machines, and I think they're pretty darn cute!

Of course, you are welcome to join the make-along with your own fabrics or quilt, and source your own handles and supplies.  If you choose to do that, you'll need the following:

  • outer piece cut to 15"x18"
  • lining piece cut to 15"x18"
  • two straps cut to 1"x10"
  • coordinating thread
  • scissors
  • pins or clips

I hope you'll join me for some quick and easy sewing fun!
