Asobi ITO means Thread Play in Japanese--and its uses are varied! Asobi ITO of course can be used as weaving thread for Pokeori, the mini loom, or you can use it for making tassels ＆ accessories or arranging gift wrapping in a fancy way.
Each color bobbin contains 1 meter each of five different yarns or threads. Each bobbin will have 5 meters total. These threads are used as both the warp and weft. If you'd like to extend the use of your Asobi Ito colors as your weft, we offer warp threads in a neutral palette.
Asobi ITO is an eco-friendly product made from recycled leftover yarns from various apparel products. The assorted set includes five kinds of cute and colorful yarns and threads that match the theme color.
Due to the nature of this product, you may find different types of yarns and threads in the assortment even if you purchase the same theme color. Please note that you cannot specify the type of yarns and threads.

Purpose in Repurposing
Everything I make at m.a.b.e.l takes time. I find and like to work with pre-1950s quilts because of their natural fibers and their designs that are so old they’re modern again. I work slowly to appreciate all the handwork and decisions that once created them. Every quilt is beautifully unique, and I love making it shine.
