Holiday Mending Kits

This is your chance to have all your jeans-zhuzhing supplies right at hand, in an adorable cookie tin from Japan!  You can read more about these tins and the inspiration for this mending kit on my blog.

Each tin contains what you need to visibly mend your favorite jeans, your child's beloved jacket, a friend's sweater...

Included are:

• 5oz of 100% cotton yarn for visible stitching
• a pack of sashiko needles (5 needles in 3 different sizes, made in Hiroshima and packaged in a traditional Japanese wrapping paper)
• needle threaders (with the pulls in coordinating wrapping paper)
• Seki mini scissors 
• Mini-masu pin cushion
• Sashiko Mending Kit (includes 8 pre-printed sashiko grids, a bobbin of 4 coordinating plant dyed cotton threads, a sashiko needle, and fabric tape)
• Peel & Stick embroidery transfers
• Pokeori Loom and one bobbin of Asobi Ito (a hand loom and threads repurposed from Japan's clothing industry)
• 2 pieces of authentic American feedsack
• 1 1920s-1940s 4 patch quilt square (unquilted)
• 4 pieces (of varying sizes) of antique (mid 19th century)Japanese indigo fabrics
• Handcrafted (by me) vintage Japanese sake cup pin cushion (Large size only)
• Precision Laser Cut plywood to create your own dividers (9 cubbies for the large, 6 for the small)!
• PLUS quilt hexi scraps!
• PLUS anything else I may be inspired to include!

Please note: while you can choose your tin, you cannot select the colors of the products inside.  Trust me--I've spent HOURS putting these together; everything plays nicely with everything else, and You. Will. Love. It.

• The small tin measures 8.25"W x 7.25"L x 2H
• The large tin measures 8.25"W x 11" L x 2.5" H
