Star Spangled Tote (Large)
This is the bag that carries all the other bags, without complaining! Large enough for several projects, or treat it as an overnighter.
Both sides features 8-point stars pieced in the Ozark String style that uses indigo, turkey red, and neutral scraps, the same color combination quilters have leaned on for generations because it never goes out of style. Fully lined in canvas, no pockets, no closure — just an honest, straightforward tote.
Size: approx 19"h x 15"w x 6"d
This one quilt yielded 6 totes; each is slightly different but all feature the same family of fabrics. The tote you receive may or may not be the exact tote that is photographed.

Purpose in Repurposing
Everything I make at m.a.b.e.l takes time. I find and like to work with pre-1950s quilts because of their natural fibers and their designs that are so old they’re modern again. I work slowly to appreciate all the handwork and decisions that once created them. Every quilt is beautifully unique, and I love making it shine.
