4, 6 & 8 Point Stars
Early quilters often used nature and their surroundings as inspiration for their patterns--thus is the case with many star patterns, as stars were early settlers' navigation aids. Most common among the star patterns are the 4 point star (also called Hummingbird), 6 Point Star, and 8 Point Star (also known as Ohio Star). The largest of the star patterns is the Star of Bethlehem or Lone Star, which is typically is one star centered in the middle of a quilt.

I am very pleased with my new quilt basket!! The colors are beautiful and the workmanship is excellent!! Your site was suggested to me by one of your students. I'm thankful that I met her, and then met you!!
Even more wonderful in person! I love the vintage vibe which is more evident in real life. Excellent workmanship, I feel like these will last forever
Beautiful piece!!Very well made!
It was so easy to make my deposit for the Japan textile tour.
My m.a.b.e.l hand-stitched Christmas stocking is beautifully made, with thoughtful details and impeccable craftsmanship. It feels timeless and special, the kind of heirloom piece you will treasure forever.
I was excited reading about it and am even more impressed once it arrived—it holds all the pins I had on a flat magnetic dish style holder in 1/4 of the space! And being upright, the pins are so much easier and safer to grab. The padding at the bottom protects the points and also being magnetic on the outside is so handy to hold a needle threader or thread cutter. So glad I ordered 2, one for pins and one for sewing and embroidery needles 😊
Nostalgic and on point for current times! I adore it. Great quality!
My loom order arrived within the time promised. They are a little smaller than I expected but are still workable. I like knowing they are made partially with shells. That little fact should encourage creativity.
So happy with the squares and the instructions! I love the idea of repurposing quilts which have already served so many and continuing on their work. Plan to sew it up this weekend.
Nicely packaged and the contents were as expected. Fun to use. I have never tried weaving on anything so small, but after a couple of times I got the hang of it. Great relaxing tool.
Absolutely love this caddy! Love the workmanship!
