Bowtie & Snowball
The Bowtie is one of those patterns that I thought was more contemporary, but it turns out to have a longer history. Bowtie quilts have been dated back to the late 1800s.
Snowball quilts are one variation of a bowtie; when grouped without blank blocks, the bowties can also create a round-ish octagon.
I'm a fan of bowtie quilts that use shirting fabrics (it seems appropriate), but scrappy bowties are equally as charming.

from 37 reviewsSo happy with the squares and the instructions! I love the idea of repurposing quilts which have already served so many and continuing on their work. Plan to sew it up this weekend.

Nicely packaged and the contents were as expected. Fun to use. I have never tried weaving on anything so small, but after a couple of times I got the hang of it. Great relaxing tool.

Absolutely love this caddy! Love the workmanship!

Love this sweet tulip basket. It is well made and every tulip is a different color. A wonderful reminder that spring is here! It will be a perfect knitting project bag. 🌷

Checks all the boxes..,great size, snap on top, my favorite flower (tulip) and my favorite color on the handles!

I have just started experimenting with it, but I already think it’s a great little loom. Great for on-the-go weaving and also to make little samples. I hope to make weaving tapestry necklaces with it. I am very happy with it.

Such a creative way to bring new life to an item so many would just discard.

Perfect ! So much character.

I have several M.A.B.E.L. items. They are all fantastic.

I’ve admired these upcycled quilted jackets for a while and I’m so happy I finally own one. It’s quickly become my favorite statement piece and I’ve worn it anywhere from a dinner date to the office. Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful item, you are so talented!
