Double Wedding Ring

Double wedding ring quilts are So. Much. Fun!  For me, I love that they're scrappy, but the then the 4 patch, where the circles meet, are typically of the same two colors throughout.  The rings signify romance and union, and this type of quilt was often given as a wedding gift. 

Double Wedding Ring became really popular in the 1920s (although there are much earlier versions), and these 1920 versions are some of my favorites because of the feedsack scraps.
